Forest Ryvicker

For many, the thought of running 4 different businesses alone simultaneously would be daunting, but not for Forest. It’s something she’s used to, after all it was her first job. A younger version of Forest would be proud of herself, always wanting to work with animals.

Forest was born in Narragansett RI, and had a pretty average high school experience. However she was in search for something more seeking a sense of community and inclusivity, Clark University was her #1 choice for college. Here at Clark, Forest is a psychology major and entrepreneurship minor, and in her freetime she pours all her effort into work on her businesses.

Forest’s first job and business was her reptile breeding and distribution company, @HighDefHognose. This is currently her main project after a Freshman year, where she did not know how to breed snakes while she was away for 4 months at a time. However over the summer she learned some tricks to breed snakes while away, and has been pushing High Def Hognose heavily this second semester, even being a participant in Clark Tank. Sadly last year she had 7 snakes die of a parasitic infection called Cryptosporidiosis, and with the capital from Clark Tank, Forest would hope to purchase 2 new snakes as well as more breeding equipment and testing kits.

However this is not the only venture Forest has started, as mentioned before she has 3 other businesses. “I see a niche and try to fill it” said Ryvicker, also saying in a later comment “I want to help… I want to be able to help animals and people”. Her goals are clear; she runs all 4 of her businesses with care and passion. “Shop with morels” is her jewelry and fossil business, “Fern Fancies MD Services” where Forest serves as a Plant Dr, and lastly she makes autism sensory toys currently under no business name. Forest’s entrepreneurial spirit may run in the bloodline, her father also owns 4 businesses in brokering and real estate. He will also aid Forest with High Def Hognose work like feedings and taking care of the snakes while she is away.

Forest’s goals for the future would be to continue growing her current businesses, but really just help people and animals. She already goes to local reptile shows and other popup type locations, and has been able to hire one of her friends named Tara to help with the business. One day Forest would like to expand and get even more people involved, but for now she has all she needs.
